Could this finally be it? After weeks of rumors and shortlists, THR’s Heat Vision blog is reporting that Marvel Studios has offered Chris Evans (“Fantastic Four”) the title role in Joe Johnston’s The First Avenger: Captain America. Marvel wouldn’t confirm the report, but Heat Vision says that the deal would include starring in up to three ‘Captain America’ movies plus The Avengers as well as appearances in other Marvel movies.

Lionsgate has begun running two TV spots for Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming comic book adaptation Kick-Ass (going along nicely with the recently debuted trailer #2 which you can watch here). Check out the TV spots after the jump.
Kick-Ass is scheduled to hit theaters on April 16, 2010.

NBC has renewed the daytime drama Days of our Lives for a 45th season, keeping the long-running soap on the air through the 2010-2011 television season.
“‘Days of our Lives’ continues to be a favorite of the daytime audience and we are thrilled to keep it going through its 45th season,” said Graboff. “‘Days’ has shown year-to-year increases in key female demographics and remains both relevant and fresh creatively.”
The drama will celebrate its 45th anniversary on Monday, November 8, 2010. The full press release is included after the jump.

According to their sources within Marvel, IESB is reporting that the shortlist for the actor who will play Captain America / Steve Rogers in Joe Johnston’s The First Avenger: Captain America has been narrowed to three: Channing Tatum; Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan. Both Tatum and Evans had been rumored previously, but Stan (who last year starred in the short-lived NBC series Kings) is a new name and is rumored to be high on Marvel’s list. And that could be a problem.

Alice in Wonderland took in $4.717 million on Wednesday, pulling past $225M domestic to $226.12 million. Finishing in second place was the disappointing and expensive Green Zone, which fell below $1M to $946,025 ($17.763 million domstic cume). She’s Out of My League ($822,240 / $12.911M cume), Shutter Island ($632,019 / $110.269M cune) and Avatar ($608,622 / $732.23M cume) rounded out the top five. Alice in Wonderland held firm on top the charts Tuesday, grossing another $6.011 million, down only slightly from Monday. Total domestic cume now stands at $221.404 million. Green Zone ($1.276M / $16.817M cume), She’s Out of My League ($1.173M / $12.089M cume), Shutter Island ($827,367 / $109.637M cume) and Remember Me ($735,640 / $9.489M cume) rounded out the top five.
Alice in Wonderland is Tim Burton’s highest-grossing film since 2005’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ($206.459M) and it will soon supplant 1989’s Batman ($251.189M) as his most successful film ever (unadjusted for inflation). Head on over the jump to see the complete daily chart.
